GAZI GROUP CHATTOGRAM

• · Gazi Group Chattogram are the only team remaining in the tournament yet to taste defeat as they have won all four matches played so far and confidence within the camp is excellent right now.
• · While the bowlers shone in the opening two games, the batting has shown some fragility in the last two matches when asked to bat first as other than Liton Das (200 runs) and Soumya Sarkar (109), the rest of the batting line-up has only managed 175 runs combined which has to be a concern.
• · Mustafizur Rahman continues to be the standout bowler in the entire competition having taken 12/78 in 15.1 overs so far and while the bowling attack is formidable, the batting needs to step up a gear if they are to keep this run going.

BEXIMCO DHAKA

• · After losing their opening three matches of the year’s Bangabandhu T20 Cup, Beximco Dhaka have responded in style by winning their last two games and they will aim to make it three in a row here.
• · The batting line-up still has some question marks around it but Yasir Ali and Akbar Ali both shone last time out as they produced the goods from the middle order to help them to 175/5 and give their bowlers a good target to defend.
• · Given their recent form, there is every chance they will name an unchanged side for this game although given the failures of their opening partnership, they may decide to try another duo there.

THE PREDICTION

Chattogram have been pretty rampant in the tournament so far but they have shown signs of being human in the last couple of matches and there are some question marks over their batting especially. Dhaka have also been improving of late with two wins in a row although their opening partnership continues to struggle having not managed to reach double figures in their last four matches. While they have won their last two, they still have far more flaws in their game than Chattogram and all the signs point towards a fifth consecutive win for the group leaders.
