Monday, July 10

Division One

Kent vs Warwickshire – 11:00 BST

Lancashire vs Essex – 11:00 BST

Middlesex vs Northamptonshire – 11:00 BST

Somerset vs Hampshire – 11:00 BST

Surrey vs Nottinghamshire – 11:00 BST

Division Two

Durham vs Gloucestershire – 11:00 BST

Glamorgan vs Leicestershire – 11:00 BST

Sussex vs Derbyshire – 11:00 BST

Worcestershire vs Yorkshire – 11:00 BST

Middlesex vs Northamptonshire – 11:00 BST

Northamptonshire’s Division One future is looking extremely bleak at present and their latest defeat at home to Kent was their fifth of the campaign, leaving them firmly rooted to the bottom of the table on 39 points. It’s hard to see where their next positive result is coming from at the moment, whilst Middlesex are coming off the back of a couple of morale boosting T20 Blast victories, so momentum is in their favour. This is a must win for the hosts and they are worth backing to capitalise on Northants recent struggles by beating them.

Prediction: Middlesex draw no bet

Surrey vs Nottinghamshire – 11:00 BST

A very strong response is expected from Surrey following their surprise loss at home to Lancashire last time out. They remain comfortable at the summit of Division One, but another slip up against Nottinghamshire would leave them sweating. Nottinghamshire are an inconsistent mid-table side and Surrey’s all-round strength-in-depth with both bat and ball gives them a big edge in this one. The likelihood is that their defeat at the hands of Lancs will have provided Surrey with the jolt they need to kick back into gear and a home win has to be favoured.

Prediction: Surrey draw no bet

Durham vs Gloucestershire – 11:00 BST

Durham boasts a significant lead at the top of Division Two and they’ll be expected to further increase that gap against a struggling Gloucestershire. The visitors are still yet to secure their first win of the season after eight games played and their bowlers are likely to be in for some punishment with Durham’s batting extremely strong. Whilst the hosts have had trouble at times taking 20 wickets, they should have enough against poor red ball opposition, so back a Durham victory here.

Prediction: Durham draw no bet
