THE PREDICTION
Both the Delhi Bulls and Maratha Arabians got off to winning starts on Thursday as they chased down targets of 129 and 128 to beat Bangla Tigers and Northern Warriors respectively. Both teams preferred chasing and it was the Bulls’ win that was most impressive sealing the win with seven balls to spare. The depth of their batting is particularly impressive with Dwayne Bravo and Adam Lyth not even needed in their win over the Tigers. The defending champions Maratha Arabians had one man to thank as Abdul Shakoor smashed a sensational 73 from 28 balls to lead them to victory over the highly-fancied Northern Warriors. Unlike the Bulls where several batsmen contributed, the Arabians had Shakoor to thank for his big hitting while a number of other batsmen failed. Based on Thursday’s performances, it is the Bulls who are favoured here due to having more players in form.
