THE PREDICTION

Group One leaders Warwickshire have put themselves in an excellent position to qualify for Division One with two matches left, however Durham currently sit just nine points behind Will Rhodes’ side and know that victory here would see them leapfrog Warwickshire with one round of fixtures left to play. It remains to be seen if England all-rounder Ben Stones will be permitted to play for Durham, however fast bowler Mark Wood won’t be available. Warwickshire will be boosted by the availability of opener Dom Sibley, although pace bowler Olly Stone is out through injury. A close game is expected between these two sides with the weather potentially playing a part, but when taking into account the red ball form of the hosts who have not lost any of their County Championship fixtures at Edgbaston so far this season, Warwickshire draw no bet has to be favoured.
