With second-placed Yorkshire playing third-place Northamptonshire in the same round of fixtures, Group 3 leaders Lancashire have a wonderful opportunity to all but secure their place in Division One by beating struggling Kent. The visitors have failed to win a single one of their eight County Championship matches played so far, with their strong batting line-up on paper disappointing. England test batter Zak Crawley will be desperate for runs ahead of the upcoming India series, however he is set to go up against legendary bowler Jimmy Anderson for Lancs. The Red Rose’ are a strong first class outfit with all basis covered with bat and ball, despite the absence of Liam Livingstone in this match through international duty and should have enough within their arsenal to beat Kent, providing the rain doesn’t interfere greatly.
