Gloucestershire resume their County Championship campaign having won four and drawn two of their eight matches so far, putting themselves in a great position of finishing in the top two of their conference. Whilst Middlesex in contrast are sat rock bottom with just one win from eight. The key for Gloucestershire will be whether they can make the smooth transition from T20 cricket, back to the slower red ball format without suffering any batting collapses.
