THE PREDICTION
Lancashire made their biggest statement yet in terms of their title credentials this season live on Sky after beating fierce rivals Yorkshire by an innings and 79 runs at Emirates Old Trafford. Now sitting top of Group 3 by 24 points, the Red Rose are on the brink of securing their place in Division One heading into September having won four, drawn three and lost none of their seven red ball fixtures so far this season.
Glamorgan have seen their last three matches all end in a draw largely due to the rain. What hasn’t helped has been the poor form of star overseas batter Marnus Labuschagne and the Australian will be desperate to turn his fortunes around in this one. Despite his presence though, Lancashire look an exceptional side. Not only do they bat deep, but they boast genuine pace within their bowling attack through Saqib Mahmood and an exciting leg-spinner in Matt Parkinson. With all basis covered nicely, the visitors should prove too strong for Glamorgan.
