Neither Victoria nor Tasmania have won in the Marsh Cup so far this season so both will be looking to get off their mark here and kick-start their campaigns. There are absentees on both teams as Victoria will be without bowlers James Pattinson, Jon Holland and Will Sutherland while Marcus Harris is suspended and Tasmania are missing the injured Ben McDermott and the rested Riley Meredith and Matthew Wade. Amid the absentees, it is Tasmania who have the greater quality and experience in their ranks as Victoria’s squad is looking somewhat youthful.
