THE PREDICTION
It has been a tough start to the Marsh Cup for South Australia as they have lost both of their opening games and they face another tough task here as they face Tasmania. They were somewhat unfortunate in their opening defeat as they narrowly lost by 13 runs to Western Australia in a thrilling match that saw more than 700 runs scored but they completely outplayed last time out at the hands of a strong New South Wales team. Their opponents Tasmania are coming off their first win as they eased past Victoria by six wickets on Wednesday. Their bowling attack did exceptionally well to restrict them to just 222 all out while their batting was solid with the likes of Tim Paine, Jordan Silk and Mac Wright looking in good touch. There is little to choose between these teams on paper and while South Australia have home advantage, the visitors may have the edge in bowling. The marginal preference just goes to South Australia but it could easily go either way.
