- Beximco Dhaka finally got their first win of the campaign at the fourth attempt of asking as they restricted Barisal to just 108/8 and they comfortably knocked that on with seven wickets and 1.1 overs to spare.
- Robiul Islam Robi took 4/20 from his four overs while Shafiqul Islam took 2/10 from his three as their bowling has notably improved with both of them coming into the side so they will surely keep their places after those displays.
- With the pressure off, the batting line-up enjoyed some time at the crease with Yasir Ali finally getting some runs with an unbeaten 44 but they still exceptionally short in quality unless more players can step up here against better opposition.
MINISTER GROUP RAJSHAHI
- After winning their opening two games, Minister Group Rajshahi have since lost their last two matches against Barisal and Chattogram so they will be desperate to halt this slide and get back to winning ways here.
- They won the previous game against Dhaka by two runs in a thrilling match at the start of the tournament but they will be confident of getting another win here against their struggling opponents.
- They will likely go with an unchanged side once again here as they have a settled team having only used 12 players in the tournament so far although Rony Talukdar is a slight fitness doubt coming into this game.
THE PREDICTION
Rajshahi have certainly had the better first half of the Bangabandhu T20 Cup in comparison to Dhaka but their confidence will be dented after losing their last two games. This match does offer them with a good chance to bounce back and they simply have more players individually in form compared to Dhaka. The opening game between these two teams went right down to the wire though and there is a good chance that this will too. Rajshahi have the edge in consistency especially at the top of the order and their openers can lay the foundations for a victory here.
