Corentin Moutet vs Jenson Brooksby prediction

Corentin Moutet is certainly enjoying his best run of form of the season. He came through qualifying to make the final of the Mallorca Championships, before managing his joint best finish at Wimbledon by reaching the second-round. He followed that up with a strong run to the semi-finals of the Washington Open, winning five matches in total, including a memorable victory in the last eight against former world number one Daniil Medvedev.

Jenson Brooksby also competed in Washington but lost in round one to Yoshihito Nishioka. Brooksby’s form has cooled since he reached the Eastbourne Open final in late June. His best result on a hard court this season saw him make the third-round in Indian Wells.

Moutet is performing nicely at the moment and will be full of confidence after his run in Washington. Brooksby may offer some resistance, but Moutet should create enough opportunities to win and get through to round two.
