Corentin Moutet vs Alejandro Davidovich Fokina prediction
Corentin Moutet ended a six-match losing run as he fought back to beat Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in the first-round of Queen’s Club. Moutet crucially broke Mpetshi Perricard’s serve in the 10th game of the second set to level the match, and he held his nerve in the deciding set tiebreak to win 6-7 (5) 6-4 7-6 (5) after two hours and 50 minutes.
He will now face Alejandro Davidovich Fokina after he extended his winning run against Cameron Norrie to three matches. Davidovich Fokina edged ahead after a tight first set, before going on to win 7-6 (6) 6-2. This was his first win on grass this season, following a round one defeat to Mattia Bellucci at the Stuttgart Open last week.
Davidovich Fokina performed at a very high level in his opening match, and he has enough quality to get past Moutet and advance to a first quarter-final since the Dallas Open back in February.
