Colton Smith will aim to spring an early upset when the American takes on Fabian Marozsan in Cincinnati.

The 22-year-old, ranked 136 in the world, did not drop a set in qualifying but will face a big test against the Hungarian, who is on track for his best season yet. 

Smith’s three tour-level wins in 2025 have all come in the USA and Marozsan will have to be on his guard against an opponent who appears to save his best tennis for a home crowd. 

If the American underdog serves well he could be dangerous on a surface he enjoys, but the world number 56, Marozsan has more quality in his all-round game and should come through if he plays to his potential.
