Coleman Wong pulled off an upset in the previous round as he knocked out top seed Jiri Lehecka at the Los Cabos Open. The 22-year-old struggled in the first set, but he began to dominate his service games and create opportunities, winning 1-6 6-3 6-4. Following this victory, he moves up to 102 in the live rankings, and he's now inching closer to a top 100 debut.

Wong will face Jenson Brooksby in the next round. He advanced to his first quarter-final since February after a straight-forward win over lucky loser Edward Winter. The American broke on four occasions and won 81% of his first serve points as he completed a 6-3 6-4 victory after one hour and 40 minutes.

Wong will take a lot of confidence from how he performed in the previous round, but Brooksby has been largely untroubled so far this week. He will start as a slight favourite.
