Coco Gauff vs Marta Kostyuk prediction
Coco Gauff progressed to the quarter-finals of the Cincinnati Open after a straight sets win over Marie Bouzkova. The two-time Grand Slam champion was not broken on serve but still had to save eight break points as she won 6-3 6-2. Gauff is still searching for her first title this season, but she has now reached the last eight of five WTA events in 2026.
Her next opponent is Marta Kostyuk. The Ukrainian produced a fine display as she came from a set down to beat Mirra Andreeva in three sets. Andreeva comfortably won their semi-final match at Roland Garros in June, but it was Kostyuk who came out on top this time as she won 4-6 6-0 6-2.
Gauff leads the head-to-head 3-2 and 3-1 on outdoor hard court. Kostyuk will look to dictate play with her aggressive baseline hitting, but Gauff is one of the best defensive players on tour and possesses the movement to make her play an extra ball.
