Coco Gauff’s resurgent form continues after the fourth seed saw off Magda Linette to make it seven wins from her last eight on clay.
The American’s indifferent start to 2025 looks to be firmly behind her with the former French Open runner-up appearing to be in very good shape heading towards Roland-Garros.
The fourth seed will now meet Emma Raducanu for the second time after the Brit came from a set down to demolish Veronika Kudermetova 5-7 6-0 6-1.
This will be their first encounter on clay with Gauff triumphing 6-3 7-6 in their maiden showdown at the Australian Open two years ago.
Raducanu is playing some of her best tennis since that fairy-tale US open charge to the title and is more than capable of causing Gauff problems, particularly if the American's forehand and first serve aren’t consistent. If they are firing, then Gauff should have too much for the improving Brit.
