Coco Gauff vs Camila Osorio prediction

Coco Gauff was on course for a second US Open final as she took the first set against Elena Rybakina in their blockbuster semi-final. However, Rybakina would fight back to win in three. That ended a 11-match winning streak for the world number four, as she had lifted the Cincinnati Open title in the lead up to the final slam of the year. That was her first title of the year, though she had also advanced to two previous WTA 1000 finals in Miami and Rome. Gauff performed strongly during the Asian swing last year, winning in Wuhan and advancing to the semi-finals of this tournament.

She received a bye and plays Camila Osorio in the second-round. The Colombian ended a four-match losing run after beating Lanlana Tararudee in straight sets to set up a first ever meeting with Gauff. Osorio broke on five separate occasions as she won 6-3 6-3.

Gauff is the clear favourite to being her campaign in Beijing with a comfortable victory.
