Clement Tabur picked up the best win of his career as he comfortably got past world number 62 Aleksandar Kovacevic in straight sets to advance in Metz. He was not broken on serve and won a tremendous 92% of his first serve points. He wrapped up a 6-3 6-2 win after just one hour and six minutes.
He now takes on Alexander Blockx. The 20-year-old claimed his second ATP Tour win of the season as he came from a set down to beat Francesco Passaro. It was a brilliant serving performance from the Belgian as he hammered 16 aces on his way to victory. A nervy final game saw him save seven break points before sealing a 3-6 6-3 6-4 win.
Blockx is now on a six-match winning streak after winning a Challenger event in Bratislava last week. The number of matches may take their toll on the youngster but he’s clearly in strong form and worth backing for this one.
