Clara Tauson vs Linda Noskova Prediction
Clara Tauson is coming off a fabulous 6-3 6-2 win over Aryan Sabalenka in the round of 16 and the Danish 22-year-old will be flying with confidence after that win. The fact she lost to Sabalenka at the Australian Open just a few weeks ago but avenged that loss here is even more of a testament to her character and as a result of the win, she returns to the top 35 in the world rankings.
She now faces Linda Noskova for a place in the semis and the 20-year-old Czech player will be just as confident after beating 11th-seed Diana Shnaider in the second round and then Jessica Pegula in the round of 16 on Wednesday. Both were hard-fought wins but she produced the goods at the key moments to seal her progress.
The pair did meet just a few weeks ago for the first time in the Australian Open and it was a very competitive match. Tauson won that 5-7 6-3 6-4 and that will give her confidence of repeating that here.
We can see another close see-saw battle here between the two and would not rule out this one going to a decider once again. Our marginal preference is with Tauson but consider the overs.
