Christopher O’Connell vs Chun-Hsin Tseng prediction

Christopher O’Connell is without a win in his last four matches. His grass court season ended with early losses at Queen’s, the first qualifying stage of Eastbourne and Wimbledon. He then followed that up with another defeat in Washington last week, losing 6-3 6-2 to Ethan Quinn.

Chun-Hsin Tseng is also struggling and has lost six of his last seven matches. He only competes in the main draw of this tournament as a lucky loser, having lost in straight sets to Ugo Blanchet in the only stage of qualifying. He has a negative record on hard courts this year, with five wins and six defeats overall.

The head-to-head does go in his favour however, as he is 2-1 up on O’Connell and 1-0 on hard courts. However, that one match on the surface went his way as the Australian was forced to retire midway through in Seoul. Both players are desperately struggling in terms of their overall performance levels right now and we can envisage a match low on quality which heads into a decider.

Christopher O’Connell vs Chun-Hsin Tseng tip: Both players to win a set
