The American chalked up a 6-3 6-0 victory over the Colombian and will face another in-form star in the shape of Petra Marcinko.

The Croatian booked a spot in the last eight with a 6-1 6-4 triumph over Kim Birrell.

Both players look like breaking into the top 50 come next week with career highs very much on the cards.

That should make this a great battle and we see plenty of games and a possible third set, although we side with Caty for the outright winner given she leads the head-to-head 2-0 with previous wins on clay and hardcourt.
