Castleford Tigers Team News: Rooney is back
After missing a significant period of trip with a quad injury, Fletcher Rooney has been named in the Castleford Tigers’ squad. However, Tex Hoy did not make the squad and remains out injured. Elsewhere, Joe Stimson could feature here for the hosts.

Wigan Warriors Team News: French absence a big blow
Wigan Warriors are without the mercurial Bevan French for this game and he’ll obviously be a huge miss to the Warriors’ offense. Christian Wade takes his place in the squad, whilst Liam Marshall is doubtful.

Castleford Tigers vs Wigan Warriors Prediction
Don’t expect Wigan Warriors to run through Castleford Tigers, especially when without the brilliant French in attack. They still have enough in the tank though to dominate the Tigers and get back to winning ways following a shock defeat at the hands of Wakefield Trinity last time out on the road. This is always a challenging period for Wigan, who rarely play at home in the height of summer as their pitch gets worked on.
Castleford Tigers were destroyed by Hull KR last time out, losing 48-0 at home. This should prove to be a significantly closer game, but Wigan Warriors are likely to bounce back at the first time of asking and should be favoured to get the better of Castleford.
