Carlos Taberner vs Damir Dzumhur prediction

Carlos Taberner continued his superb run in Umag by taking down Jesper de Jong. 

The Spaniard followed up his shock win over top seed and reigning champion Francisco Cerundolo with a 7-5 6-3 victory over the Dutchman. 

The 27-year-old’s reward is a place back in the world’s top 100 and his first ATP semi-final where he will face fourth seed Damir Dzumhur.

The Bosnian bit back to end the run of Titouan Droguet by a 3-6 7-5 6-2 scoreline.

This will be a first tour-level encounter but they have met twice on clay in qualifying and at a Challenger with honours even at one apiece.

Taberner won the most recent last year in Bucharest as Dzumhur retired while trailing 6-3 3-0.

This is a tough call given Taberner’s incredible level in this tournament and we think Dzumhur’s battling qualities make this a decent bet to go the distance.
