Carlos Alcaraz vs Roberto Bautista Agut prediction

Carlos Alcaraz made it through to the semi-finals with a 7-5 6-4 win over Arthur Rinderknech. It was a far more comfortable match for the Spaniard in comparison to his three hour epic with Jaume Munar in the previous round. The world number two did not face a break point during the contest and is now just two matches away from a second Queen’s Club title. He also extended his best ever winning run on the tour to 16 matches.

He faces Roberto Bautista Agut for a place in the final. The 37-year-old picked up his best win of the season as he beat world number nine Holger Rune. He was close to wrapping up the match in two sets, but Rune took the second on a tiebreak to force a decider. Nevertheless, Bautista Agut recovered brilliantly to win 7-6 6-7 6-2 and make a first semi-final of the season.

They have played against each other twice before with Alcaraz comfortably winning both without the drop of a set. He beat Bautista Agut in the third-round of Indian Wells in 2022 and in the round-of-16 stage of the Barcelona Open a year later.

Bautista Agut is a fine competitor and has enjoyed a wonderful tournament so far with victories over Rune and Miami Open champion Jakub Mensik. Nevertheless, Alcaraz put in professional performance last time out and should have more than enough to win.
