Carlos Alcaraz reached his first ever final in Turin after defeating Felix Auger-Aliassime in straight sets. The Canadian had won their two previous indoors matches but Alcaraz made a stunning start in this one as he committed just two unforced errors on his way to winning the first set in comfortable fashion. The second set went on serve but Alcaraz pounced with Auger-Aliassime serving to stay in the match to win 6-2 6-4. He has already sewn up the year-end number one spot, but the Spaniard will be hoping for a maiden title at the ATP Finals to cap off a sensational season.
Jannik Sinner reached his third final in succession at the event after overcoming Alex de Minaur. De Minaur performed well in the first set, but the pressure finally told in the 11th game of the first set as Sinner broke for the first time and he clinched the set in the very next service game. He increased his level in the second set and won 7-5 6-2.
This will be the 16th meeting between the pair, with Alcaraz leading the head-to-head 10-5. They have already played each other five times in 2025, including at three Grand Slam finals, with Alcaraz winning their matches at the French Open and US Open, while Sinner won their meeting at Wimbledon.
Alcaraz has won seven of the last eight meetings and will be encouraged by the best indoor form of his career. However, Sinner has served unbelievably well at this event so far, having not been broken, and is on a 31-match winning streak indoors. Their matches usually hinge on the serving performances of each player and that might just give Sinner the edge in this one.
