Carlos Alcaraz vs Arthur Rinderknech prediction

Carlos Alcaraz overcame a huge scare to defeat Jaume Munar and make it through to the quarter-finals of Queens Club. The 2023 champion won a pretty straight-forward first set but was then engaged in a mammoth second which lasted an hour and 24 minutes. He saved numerous set points on his own serve but then squandered two match points of his own in the tiebreak as his compatriot forced a decider. Alcaraz went a break up initially but lost the momentum once more as Munar broke twice to stand on the edge of the best win of his career. However, despite being 4-2 down, Alcaraz would bounce back again to claim a dramatic 6-3 6-7 7-5 win.

Alcaraz has now won a career best 15 matches in a row and takes on Arthur Rinderknech in the quarters. The Frenchman continued his fine progress with a 7-5 7-6 win over big serving Reilly Opelka. 

The world number two leads the head-to-head 2-0 and 1-0 on grass. They played each other in the first-round of this event two years ago and it was a very close match with Alcaraz winning 4-6 7-5 7-6. The Spaniard has not been at his best so far and may need three sets again to win.
