Carlos Alcaraz vs Alex de Minaur Prediction

This has been a good week for Carlos Alcaraz as he has built up some confidence and momentum, so he enters this final in excellent shape.

He had a tough semi-final encounter with Hubert Hurkacz which he came through in three sets and that will give him good confidence just as the dominant wins previously did.

He now faces Alex de Minaur who is enjoying a fantastic week of his own and this will be the third time the duo have met.

Alcaraz has won both previous meetings which will boost his confidence and that is something of a red flag for De Minaur. The Australian is clearly an outstanding player when fit but he has struggled against the elite like Sinner and Alcaraz which is just why he continues to sit around the absolute best.

This week could not have gone any better for De Minaur however. He has beaten all four opponents in straight sets and he absolutely dominated Mattia Bellucci 6-1 6-2 in the semi-final.

The only downside to those matches is that he has not been truly tested this week and that will certainly be the case in the final against Alcaraz.

We firmly favour Alcaraz here. The Spaniard is in good shape and he will be more than a match for the in-form Australian.
