Canterbury Bulldogs vs Parramatta Eels prediction
The final match of Round 14 sees traditional rivals lock horns again as the ladder-leading Canterbury Bulldogs host the struggling Parramatta Eels at Accor Stadium on Monday. A crowd of over 70,000 has been tipped for the public holiday in Australia which could give a finals like atmosphere to the clash.
The Bulldogs (1st) should be fresh after a Round 13 bye and time enough has passed after their shock 44-8 capitulation to the Dolphins in Round 12.
The Parramatta Eels (16th) suffered a 18-10 defeat to the Penrith Panthers in Round 13, their third loss in five matches.
The Bulldogs have won their last two meetings, winning 22-18 in R14, 2024, and 16-8 in R3 of this season. However, the head-to-head record at Accor Stadium is evenly poised at 18 wins apiece.
The Bulldogs will be fired up to prove their Round 12 performance was an aberration and will benefit from their returning Origin stars. The Eels are in a tough spot but have the talent to cause an upset if they can find their best form. They have been competitive in each match the past six weeks despite only having two wins to show for it.
