Canberra Raiders vs Manly Sea Eagles prediction
The Canberra Raiders (1st) had their nine-game winning streak sensationally snapped in a shock 18-12 loss to the St George Illawarra Dragons in Round 22.
The Manly Sea Eagles (10th, 9W-10L) are in a slump, losing their last two matches to fall out of the top eight, including a 20-4 loss to the Sydney Roosters last weekend.
Canberra's forward pack, led by Joseph Tapine and Hudson Young, will look to reassert their dominance, while halves Jamal Fogarty and Ethan Strange need to bounce back.
Raiders Second-rower Hudson Young is enjoying a career-best season, having scored 10 tries in 17 games and made 524 tackles.
Reuben Garrick has scored seven tries in four H2H games against Canberra.
Manly has historically had the better of this rivalry, winning 41 of 66 encounters overall and boasting an impressive record in Canberra. When the teams met in Round 3 this season, Manly delivered perhaps their finest performance of the year in a crushing 40-12 defeat of the Raiders.
This is a mental test for the Raiders after their first loss in months. They face a desperate Manly side, buoyed by their big win over Canberra earlier in the year.
