Canterbury Bulldogs team news

Breakout back-rower Jacob Preston will miss four weeks after failing to overturn his charge at the judiciary. He will likely be replaced in the starting side by Harry Hayes or Kurtis Morrin. Matt Burton returns (suspension) in the halves alongside Toby Sexton. Burton has only played half of the Bulldogs’ games this season and Bailey Hayward was outstanding in his absence but for now moves back into a utility role off the bench.

Canberra Raiders vs Canterbury Bulldogs prediction

The Canterbury Bulldogs were back in the winners list with a convincing 38-18 victory against the Gold Coast Titans. Despite several senior players missing through suspension, they had more than enough ammunition to put their seventh victory of the season on the board.

The Canberra Raiders defeated the Melbourne Storm 20-18 in golden point. Whilst there was some debate about the decisions in the extra period there is no doubt that the Raiders can match it with the very best sides in the competition. Canberra have been one of the form teams of the competition this season and a key reason why is the continuity of their side. There have been very little changes to the 17 in 2025, with a minimal injury toll to thank for that.

In the matchup history between the two sides the Raiders have won 37 matches compared to 38 for the Bulldogs. In more recent times, the Raiders have won eight of their past nine clashes. The Bulldogs grabbed the points in their most recent match last season and each of their last four matches have seen more than 40 points scored.

We think this one goes down to the wire with strong defensive pressure from both sides.

Canberra Raiders vs Canterbury Bulldogs tip: Total match points under 46.5
