Camilo Ugo Carabelli vs Daniel Merida prediction
Camilo Ugo Carabelli’s most recent outing came at the French Open. The Argentine won his opening match against Emilio Nava, before falling to a four set defeat against Andrey Rublev. His highlight of the season was defending his Challenger title in Rosario, while he also progressed to the semi-finals of the Grand Prix Hassan II in Marrakech. He has never won a tour-level match on grass.
Daniel Merida is his opponent. The Spaniard’s best result of the season was his incredible run to the final of the Bucharest Open on his ATP Tour debut. Merida does have a title to his name this season, on the Challenger Tour in Tenerife. He attempted to qualify for Queen’s Club but lost in the first stage to Martin Damm in straight sets.
Neither player is particularly well suited to grass, and it is unlikely that either will run away with this first-round encounter.
