Camilo Ugo Carabelli vs Alexander Zverev prediction
Camilo Ugo Carabelli got through his first-round match with Pablo Carreno Busta in three sets, winning 6-2 1-6 6-3. The Argentinian’s level dropped considerably in the middle part of the match, as he lost seven service games in a row, but he managed to raise his game and win the decider after going a break down.
Zverev won in Rome last year with a straight sets victory over Nicolas Jarry in the final though his form has been largely disappointing this season since making the final of the Australian Open in January. He did win the BMW Open for a third time last month, but he lost in the second-round of Monte-Carlo to Matteo Berrettini and was defeated by Francisco Cerundolo in straight sets in the fourth-round of the Madrid Open.
Ugo Carabelli could be an awkward match for the defending champion and can cause problems, having already gone close to winning titles in Rio and Santiago during the South American clay court swing in February. Nevertheless, we’re favouring Zverev to make it through in three sets.
Camilo Ugo Carabelli vs Alexander Zverev tip: Alexander Zverev to win 2-1
