Camila Osorio vs Ann Li prediction
Camila Osorio began her Guangzhou Open campaign with a dominant win over out-of-form Lucia Bronzetti. The Colombian won 80% of her first serve points and did not even concede a break point as she wrapped up a 6-1 6-2 win after just an hour and five minutes. That was her first main draw win on the WTA Tour since the China Open.
She will face Ann Li after she also got through her first-round match in straight sets. The American was tested a little harder by Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva, as she went 3-0 down in the second, but she recovered to win 6-4 7-6. Li has failed to make it out of the second-round in her last two tournaments and her form has been rather patchy since getting through to the US Open fourth-round two months ago.
Osorio leads the head-to-head 2-0 and won their recent meeting in Beijing less than a month ago after a close three set encounter. There is little to separate the pair, and this has the makings of another tight match.
