Cameron Norrie enjoyed a resurgence in 2025 as he returned to the top 30 of the world rankings after some strong performances in big events. He reached the round-of-16 at the French Open for the first time in his career, while he then got through to the quarter-finals at Wimbledon, losing to Carlos Alcaraz. He wasn’t able to win a title as he lost two finals, with the second in Metz being an agonising defeat to Learner Tien in his final event of the season.
He goes up against Ugo Humbert in the first-round. The Frenchman struggled with a wrist problem during the season but produced his best form indoors once again, winning the title in Marseille along with a final in Stockholm during the last leg of the campaign.
Humbert leads the head-to-head 2-1 but they have never played each other outdoors on a hard court. Norrie is a gritty competitor and could very well take this into three sets.
