Cameron Norrie advanced to his second straight Moselle Open final after coming from a set down to beat Lorenzo Sonego. Sonego took the lead in the first set but Norrie hit back with two breaks of his own to level the match. The British number two had opportunities to break the Sonego serve in the early part of the decider but had to wait until the end of the set to finally make that breakthrough and win 4-6 6-2 6-4. It was a strong serving performance frpm the Brit, as he produced a first serve percentage of 83%.

He will now face Learner Tien after he thrashed Vitaliy Sachko to make a second career final. Sachko is ranked 222 in the world and making his first semi-final appearance on the ATP, and the 19-year-old was in a ruthless mood as he won 6-1 6-4 after just 56 minutes. He did not even concede a break point in the match.

Tien leads the head-to-head 2-1. Norrie won their first encounter right at the start of the season in Hong Kong but Tien has responded with straight set victories in Acapulco and Shanghai. These two are very similar in style, in terms of being defensive baseliners, and could quite easily cancel each other out over a long three set match.
