Cameron Norrie vs James Duckworth prediction
Cameron Norrie snapped a six-match losing run and picked up his first victory since April as he beat Aleksandar Kovacevic in the first-round of the Los Cabos Open. Kovacevic had won their two previous meetings, including at this event in 2023, but the 2022 Wimbledon semi-final won seven of the last eight games as he eased to a 6-4 6-1 victory.
He will now play James Duckworth. The Australian, who reached the last eight of this event last year, came from a set down to beat Aidan Mayo in his opening match. Mayo was making his ATP main draw debut and looked on course for the win as he took the first set, but Duckworth recovered to win 4-6 6-3 6-4.
Norrie, the 2021 champion, will now be fully focused on another deep run at this event after ending that losing streak in dominant fashion, and he should have too much quality for Duckworth.
