Cameron Norrie has been battling to some solid wins on clay recently to suggest he could move back in the right direction in the rankings.

The Brit is on the verge of drifting out of the world’s top 100 but came through qualifying in Geneva, impressively downing Jenson Brooksby 6-4 6-1 along the way.

Next up, he meets Swiss wildcard Dominic Stricker, who is ranked at 258 in the world and has mainly been featuring on the Challenger circuit in the past few months. 

The 22-year-old will have the home support but is 2-5 against fellow lefties, compared to Norrie’s impressive 31-21 record.
