Cameron Norrie vs Benjamin Bonzi Prediction

Cam Norrie has enjoyed one of his best weeks on the ATP Tour for some time and he will look to cap 2024 off in style with a title in Metz. After coming through a trio of three-set battles with Roberto Carballes Baena, Luca Van Assche and Zizou Bergs, he won his semi-final in straight sets.

He overcame Corentin Moutet in the semi 6-2 7-6 and his all-round game this week has been really strong. There is not one thing that is standing out but all aspects of his game a consistently above average and that will give him confidence coming into this final.

It is more than 18 months since Norrie last reached an ATP Tour final but he won that one in Rio and he will be confident ahead of this one.

He meets France’s Benjamin Bonzi who is playing his third ATP Tour final. He lost the previous two finals he played at the start of 2023 in India and France but he will be hoping for third time lucky.

It has been a long week for Bonzi as he had to come through two rounds of qualifying to reach the main draw so he has had six matches en route to the final.

His semi-final win over Alex Michelsen was the first time he dropped a set all week but he responded emphatically to win 4-6 6-0 7-5. Given how well he has played this week and beaten the likes of Roberto Bautista Agut, Casper Ruud and Quentin Halys, it is hard to oppose Bonzi in this final.

We have written off Bonzi in his last few matches thinking this run would come to an end and it has yet to do so. While Norrie has the greater pedigree, we slightly lean towards Bonzi. There is little to choose between them here though and our preferred play is on game betting.
