Brisbane Broncos team news

Brisbane Broncos will likely have to make a late call on Adam Reynolds with their captain currently fighting an adductor problem. That would serve as a double blow for a side already without Reece Walsh.

North Queensland Cowboys team news

Sam McIntyre misses out through injury and he could be joined on the sidelines by Braidon Burns, who has been named in the squad but faces a late fitness test.

Squad: Scott Drinkwater, Braidon Burns, Jaxon Purdue, Tom Chester, Murray Taulagi, Jake Clifford, Tom Dearden, Coen Hess, Reed Mahoney, Jason Taumalolo, Heilum Luki, Kai O'Donnell, Reuben Cotter, Soni Luke, Griffin Neame, Thomas Mikaele, Matthew Lodge, Zac Laybutt, Mason Barber, Harrison Edwards, Kaiden Lahrs, Robert Derby

Brisbane Broncos vs North Queensland Cowboys prediction

Both these two teams have won three and lost two of their five NRL fixtures played so far, although North Queensland Cowboys are expected to be underdogs at the home of the defending champions, despite them currently sitting higher in the table. But the visitors have every reason to be confident of success, despite the recent good form of the Broncos.

Brisbane are coming off the back of three consecutive wins, but are missing star Reece Walsh. The Cowboys successfully nilled St. George Illawarra Dragons last time out in an awesome all-round performance and a similar showing here would give them a big chance of success. There is genuine value in backing an away win and that play should be seriously considered.
