Brandon Nakashima came from behind to edge Jordan Thompson and reach the round of 16 in Beijing.

The American triumphed 6-7 7-6 6-2 to set up a clash with Marton Fucsovics.

The Hungarian qualifier upset eighth seed France’s Tiafoe 7-5 in the third to clinch another tussle with a leading player from the USA.
