Brandon Nakashima vs Marin Cilic prediction
Brandon Nakashima endured a fourth first round exit at the Australian Open in five years last month, which was a frustrating beginning to life with new coach Rick Leach. The world number 29, who is at his highest ever ranking, most recently succumbed to a round of 16 loss to Taylor Fritz in the Dallas Open last week.
He now faces 2014 US Open winner and further two-time Grand Slam finalist Marin Cilic who is enjoying something of a career resurgence in the last 12 months or so after experiencing the ATP Challenger Tour. He reached the semi-finals of the Dallas Open last week before also losing in two tiebreak sets to Fritz.
Marin Cilic also put in some good showings last month in a four set loss to Casper Ruud in the Australian Open and he would have to be viewed as the favourite against an out of form Nakashima.
