Brandon Nakashima vs Jack Draper prediction
Brandon Nakashima enjoyed an impressive run at Queen’s, winning three consecutive matches without dropping a set to reach the semi-finals. However, he was unable to capitalise on a commanding position in his last four match against Francisco Cerundolo, losing the match despite going up a set and a break.
He will face Jack Draper in the first-round. Draper is set to make his return to the sport, having not featured since retiring against Tomas Martin Etcheverry at the Barcelona Open. The former British number one picked up a knee injury which kept him out for most of the clay court season, and his ranking has now dropped to outside the top 100.
It’s quick turnaround for Nakashima but Draper may take some time to shake off the rust after an extended period without competitive match action. There is an element of the unknown about this contest, but it has the makings of a three set battle.
