Brandon Nakashima vs Jack Draper prediction

Brandon Nakashima edged a tight two set match with Great Britain’s Dan Evans, winning 7-5 7-6 in the second-round. The American earned a crucial break at the end of the first set to take a decisive lead. He also went a break up in the second but was pegged back by a dogged Evans who was able to force a tiebreak. Nakashima still sealed victory and can now set his sights on another Brit in Jack Draper in the quarter-finals.

Draper got past Alexei Popyrin in three sets in the last round. He trailed Popyrin initially but staged a strong comeback to force a decider. He squandered match points with the Aussie serving to stay in the contest while he also went 4-2 down in the third set tiebreak. Nevertheless, the British number one fought back to win 3-6 6-2 7-6 and advance to the quarter-finals of Queen’s Club for the first time.

These two are 1-1 in terms of the head-to-head, though Draper did win their only meeting on grass convincingly in the semi-finals of the Stuttgart Open last year, beating Nakashima 6-3 6-3. The American has looked solid so far and is consistent enough to frustrate Draper, but we still predict that the world number seven will find a way through.
