British middleweight champion Liam Williams (22-2-1, 17KOs) is in action for the first time in 2020 to defend his belt against mandatory challenger Andrew Robinson. Since losing back-to-back bouts against Liam Smith in 2017, Williams has racked up six consecutive wins via KO/TKO and he will be determined to carry on from where he left off prior to the enforced break due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Andrew Robinson (24-4-1, 7KOs) comes into this contest with six wins from his last seven bouts, this is a step up in class for the man from Redditch. Although he has only been stopped once in his career, the calibre of opponent that he has faced in recent times have not possessed the power or quality that his opponent in this fight has at his disposal.

THE PREDICTION

Liam Williams has looked in excellent shape over the last couple of years and he certainly has his sights set on a World title shot - which does not look to be too far away. The Welshman will be raring to go in his first bout since December and expect him to come out strongly against Robinson. Four of Williams’ last six wins have come in the opening three rounds and expect another quickfire victory in this bout.
