Borna Gojo vs Vit Kopriva prediction
Borna Gojo’s struggles with injury have hampered the former world number 72’s attempts to climb back up the rankings.
The Croatian, who now sits at 426 in the rankings, missed eight months of 2024 with a back injury and despite lifting a Challenger title at Sioux Falls at the back end of 2024, he has rarely featured this year.
This will be the 27-year-old’s ninth match of 2025 and follows a first-round defeat to Stan Wawrinka on clay at the Naples Challenger last week.
It is in stark contrast to his opponent, Vit Kopriva, who has been featuring prominently at the business end of Challenger events in the past few months and went on to lift the title in Naples to move up to a career-high 106 in the world.
Gojo won their only previous meeting in Australian Open qualifying by a 2-6 6-3 6-2 scoreline earlier this year, but we feel Kopriva’s greater match sharpness and strong form on clay may give him the slight edge this time around.
