JAPAN VS COSTA RICA
Prior to the tournament, Japan were tipped up by many to cause a couple of surprises with an abundance of exciting attacking talent. Well, they showed those capabilities late on against the Germans and now face, arguably, the worst side in the competition who come into this on the back of shipping seven. With the knockout stages beckoning, the Japanese should cruise to victory in this one.

BELGIUM VS MOROCCO
Belgium will enter this match as favourites, but if they play at the same level as they did against Canada then Morocco will have an excellent chance of getting something out of the game, whether it be one point, or all three. Morocco contain plenty of players who are experienced when it comes to big occasions whether it be club or international football and that should serve them well here. Without Lukaku, Belgium looked out of sorts going forward last time out and their defence remains vulnerable. With that in mind, it would be a shrewd move to back Morocco to gain either a draw or victory against the Red Devils via the double chance market.

CROATIA VS CANADA
Canada were one of the surprise packages of the opening round of matches at the FIFA World Cup, albeit without managing to come away with anything for their efforts in their game with Belgium. They must now attempt to produce a similar level of performance as they aim to take something from this clash with Croatia in what shapes as an important game for both sides. The Croatians were held by Morocco and they too will feel they need to claim the three points in this matchup but the Canadians showed enough in their first match to suggest they can pose some problems here.

SPAIN VS GERMANY
Spain produced arguably the standout display of the first round of group matches at the 2022 FIFA World Cup as they blitzed Costa Rica with a stunning performance. The Spaniards dictated proceedings from the off and they look like the team to beat based on that effort but they will not want to be complacent ahead of this big clash with Germany. A loss for the Germans will be a disaster here having already suffered defeat to Japan in their opening contest with their hopes of making the knockout stages hanging by a thread. They are good enough to respond here but Spain’s quality will worry them and Luis Enrique’s side are worth backing to claim another victory.
