Bernarda Pera vs Elisabetta Cocciaretto prediction

Bernarda Pera got the better of Magda Linette in a tight first-round match to advance. It was a dramatic encounter, with the American having a chance to seal the victory in the second set tiebreak but losing out 12-10 to Linette. She would also go a break down in the decider with the Pole having the opportunity to serve out the match. However, she was unable to do so as Pera reeled off four consecutive games to win 6-2 6-7 7-5.

She takes on Elisabetta Cocciaretto in the next stage. The Italian was also involved in a mammoth tiebreak in her first-round match, as she won 7-6 (11) 7-5. Cocciaretto was not at her best and must improve her first serve percentage of 51% if she is to have a chance of victory.

Pera leads the head-to-head 4-1 but this will be their first match on grass. They last competed in a qualifier in Dubai over a year ago with the American recovering from a set down to win. We think Pera is decent value to come out on top once more but she’ll still need to work for it.
