Bernard Tomic vs Roberto Bautista Agut prediction

Roberto Bautista Agut will have his eyes on breaking back into the world’s top 40 in Mallorca.

The Spaniard continued his strong grass swing with a 5-7 6-3 6-2 win over Tomas Martin Etcheverry in the first round and will now face qualifier Bernard Tomic for a place in the last eight.

The Aussie followed up his run through qualifying with a comeback success over his compatriot Rinky Hijikata.

This will be a fourth meeting with RBA leading 2-1. The most recent encounter was way back in 2019 while their maiden showdown saw Tomic win at Wimbledon in straight sets.

The Aussie can be a tricky customer when his Mojo is flowing and he’s enjoying his time in Mallorca.

Bautista Agut is more consistent despite being in the veteran stage of his career and while Tomic could spring the upset if you fancy an outside bet, the smart money is on the home favourite to progress in the end.
