Benjamin Bonzi vs Daniil Medvedev prediction

Benjamin Bonzi has suffered three first-round defeats in Stuttgart, Halle and Mallorca on grass this season. The Frenchman’s best run at Wimbledon saw him reach the second-round in 2021 and 2022. He has struggled for form all season, with his best run coming at the start of the year when he made the quarter-finals of the Adelaide International and followed that up with a third-round finish at the Australian Open.

Daniil Medvedev began his campaign on grass with a disappointing loss to Reilly Opelka in the quarter-finals after beating only Adrian Mannarino in the previous round. He fared better in Halle as he won his first three matches without the drop of a set and then downed old rival Alexander Zverev in a close semi-final. Medvedev was aiming for his first title since May 2023 but lost out to Alexander Bublik.

Nevertheless, the Russian has become a solid player on the grass, reaching the semi-final of Wimbledon over the last two years and making the final of Halle on two separate occasions now. The world number nine should be comfortably making it through against Bonzi.
