Barbora Krejcikova vs Magda Linette prediction
Barbora Krejcikova continued her serene progress at the Libema Open as she comfortably got past Elena-Gabriela Ruse in the quarter-finals. Ruse had beaten Elise Mertens in a rematch of last year’s final in the previous round, but she was on the backfoot for the whole match here as the two-time Grand Slam singles champion won 6-1 6-2. She is the only seeded player remaining in the draw, and is yet to drop a set across her two matches so far.
Magda Linette is her next opponent. The Pole also enjoyed a largely straight-forward win as she beat Zeynep Sonmez to advance to her first tour-level semi-final of the season. Linette conceded just the one break point as she claimed a 6-4 6-2 win.
Krejcikova leads the overall head-to-head 3-1, with Linette winning their last meeting in Strasbourg last year. The Czech has performed strongly so far this week, and she will be a commanding favourite for this one.
